Steel manufacturing unit fuels growth in PHN’s earnings

Phinma Corporation said its net income rose 15% to PHP 302 million last year from PHP 261.7 million in 2013.

Revenue grew by 12% year – on – year to PHP 5.367 billion, largely on account of a 15% increase in the revenue of Union Galvasteel Corporation (UGC), which is 98% owned by Phinma.

The four schools comprising the Phinma Education Network Araullo University, Cagayan de Oro College, University of Iloilo and University of Pangasinan turned in an income of PHP 191.9 million, a 19% increase from PHP 160.8 million in 2013.
