Seafood in coconut oil

This recipe is also known as ginataang alimango (crab with coconut milk). I just made a small twist by adding medium clam and assorted vegetables. I love the unique taste of it, and it is easy to prepare

Here’s the ingredients


– crabs
   *boiled in water for 20 minutes
– medium clams
   * washed and well cleaned
– assorted vegetables, sliced
– malunggay
– coconut milk
– ginger
– onion
– garlic
– patis (fish sauce)
– salt and pepper
– native bell pepper (siling haba)
– magic sarap
– oil

– in a cooking pan, sautee ginger, garlic and onion
– put clams, continue mixing until clam shell becomes light brown
– put crabs, continue mixing for 3 minutes
– put coconut oil
– put patis, salt and pepper
– cover and bring to boil
– continue simmer until oil from coconut comes out
– but veggies, make sure the veggies will be boiled into the coco milk
– put siling haba and malunggay
– simmer till veggies are soft
– serve and enjoy
