Day 3: Mt. Kanlaon

18 Nov

Date: October 26, 2014

On this day, I am officially away from home for 4 days. It was a cold night, thanks I had my jacket and blanket with me. Had a good sleep but wake up from time to time since Ep-ep is shouting about how cold it was in his tent.

I was up about 4:30 am and this shot was taken

We need to rise up early to see the beautiful sunrise. At around 5 am, we started ascending to the crater. Of course we need to stop for a few pictures like this one

There are areas where trail is invisible due to the high grass like this

Well after 5 hours we reaches our jump off. It was a great experience. We are very thankful that we had a very good weather during the 3 day adventure. I am sure that someday, I’ll climb Mt. Kanlaon again.
